Another weapon has been obtained for Bryce Young by Carolina

Panthers cornerback Donte Jackson and Steelers sixth-round pick (178th overall)

for wide receiver Diontae Johnson and a 2024 seventh-round pick (240th overall)

Even though he had led Pittsburgh in receptions for two of the previous three seasons,

Johnson—who was a third-round pick in the 2019 NFL Draft—was still a target for trades in the weeks leading up to his free agency.

The 27-year-old wide receiver has played in the NFL for five years and has accumulated 4,363 yards and 25 touchdowns.

Even if Johnson's hands failed him at times, particularly in his early career,

he still has 391 receptions to his name and a tempting knack for finding open space.
