Elon Musk's Mars dreams hinge on starship launch.

SpaceX may launch its Starship rocket in a few days, a key test for its Mars mission.

SpaceX CEO Elon Musk posted a video of the fully stacked rocket system at Starbase in Boca Chica, Texas, where Starship work has been ongoing since 2019.

On March 14, SpaceX will try a third uncrewed Starship rocket flight from Texas to Hawaii.

Two previous attempts failed at high altitude.

Starship is the largest and most powerful rocket ever built, measuring 120 meters when the upper stage is on its Super Heavy booster.

The rocket and infrastructure needed for lift-off and landing face many technical obstacles due to its size.

The launchpad was destroyed by the first fully stacked rocket launch in April 2023, spewing debris up to 8 kilometers (5 miles).

Scientists who examined the wreckage said Raptor engines were as strong as volcano explosions.
